Measuring what each person leaves behind.
Caravela Coffee wanted every employee and collaborator to record all the work activities that generate a carbon footprint, starting with travel, and to know their own footprint. And the company to know how many trees to plant each year to offset it.
02 / Strategy
From the activity to the tree.
We designed the platform as a short path: each person records the company activities that generate a footprint, including their trips, the system calculates everyone’s footprint and it all adds up into a single annual planting budget.
03 / Process
A platform built to measure.
We designed and developed the complete platform in Laravel and Vue: per-user access, the recording of the company activities that generate a footprint (energy, waste, water, food, purchases and more) and of travel (destination, time, distance and mode of transport: plane, train, car, bicycle and more), the footprint calculation per person, the company consolidation and the annual budget. We then built version 2.0, which also measures the footprint of suppliers and partners.
04 / The experience
A footprint that becomes action.
Today Greener lets Caravela measure its team’s footprint, from every trip to every activity of the operation, and define each year the budget for planting trees. Version 2.0 adds suppliers and partners. The platform is private: the data and the brand belong to Caravela; we built the platform.
